The Zigman Family
Three artists, one family, a shared devotion to paint and meaning.
The Zigman family has painted together for more than three decades, sharing studios, subjects and a restless curiosity about the human figure. What began as a household of easels has grown into a body of work that moves between surrealism, metarealism and classical portraiture.
Each member keeps a distinct voice, yet the work is bound by a common language of colour, memory and the quiet drama of everyday faces. This page introduces the three painters behind Zigman Art.
The Artists

Alice-Helen Zigman
Painter · Conceptual & Metareal Art
Alice-Helen works at the edge of surrealism and design, building layered worlds where architecture, portrait and idea dissolve into one another. Her signed 'AHZ' pieces explore intersection, evolution and the space between times.

Claudia-Laura Zigman
Painter · Surrealism & Metarealism
Claudia-Laura paints the inner landscape of emotion. Her surrealist portraits layer colour upon colour until the sitter's feeling, rather than their likeness, becomes the subject — as in the 'Culorile Sufletului Meu' and 'Ma numesc Alice' series.

Mihai Zigman
Painter · Realism & Surrealism
Mihai moves fluidly between classical realism and surrealist allegory, from commemorative royal portraits to dreamlike horses in flight. His draughtsmanship anchors the family's more experimental work in a long figurative tradition.
